Founded by lupus warrior, advocate, and Lupus Foundation of America Ambassador Nyobie Gordon-Ricks in 2012, Butterfly Warriors is dedicated to raising awareness about lupus, advocating for those affected by the disease, and providing crucial support to individuals and families impacted by lupus. Through fundraising efforts, we aim to make a meaningful difference in the lives of those battling lupus. We are committed to supporting lupus research, education, and advocacy through our various initiatives.

Support Services

We offer a range of support services to individuals and families affected by lupus, including access to support, education and fellowship via our virtual support groups. Our goal is to provide a support system that addresses the emotional, and social needs of those living with lupus.

The 2025 National Lupus Advocacy Summit will be held in Washington, DC from May 4-6!

Join lupus warriors from all over the country for the largest lupus advocacy event of the year in Washington, DC! Summit attendees will learn from experts in the field about the latest in lupus research, connect with hundreds of their fellow lupus warriors and advocate for increased research funding, ensure access to care and advance policies to improve the lives of all people with lupus.
